Our History

Serving Garner, NC since 1960

   In 1960 a group of people had a vision for a new church in Garner, North Carolina.  Their vision was for a place to honor and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ; a place to share the gospel with the community and around the world. A place where people could come and find help and healing for their spiritual needs. In September 1960 that vision became a reality. There were 43 charter members.

    For several years the church met at the Old Garner Methodist Church building in downtown Garner.  In 1971 the church bought 11 acres of land on N. C. Highway 50 and soon thereafter built on the property.  Today the church grounds include a sanctuary, classrooms, a fellowship hall and a youth center.

The following men have served as Pastor of Garner Church.

We look back and rejoice at God’s faithfulness through the years.  We look ahead with anticipation at what God has in store for the future.
