What to Expect

We understand that visiting a church for the first time can be confusing or intimidating.

Here are some things to help you feel informed and comfortable before you visit.

We are a community of believers who exist to glorify God,
to transform people into followers of Christ,
and to live Spirit-filled lives.

We’d love to have you join us on Sunday at 10:30 AM.

At each service you will find passionate worship, gospel-centered preaching, and a vibrant kids ministry.
Whether you’ve been around church all of your life or this is your first time stepping foot in a church,
we want to make your experience welcoming.

  PASSIONATE WORSHIP

At Garner Church, you will hear music at each and every gathering that is based on God’s Word and focused on God’s character.  Our goal is that each and every person present at our worship services would leave with a sense of awe and wonder at what Jesus has done for us. We strive to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16)

GOSPEL-CENTERED PREACHING

At Garner Church, you will find our preaching expository in nature and gospel-centered in content. We focus on simply exposing what the Bible says in each passage while keeping in mind that all passages connect to the overarching story of the whole Bible. In light of this, each sermon should reflect the sum of the biblical narrative—that we ought to love God when we see His great love for us. We see His love most clearly in the sacrificial death of Jesus. The Gospel is always the point, and Jesus is always the hero of every sermon.

VIBRANT KIDS MINISTRY

At Garner Church we love kids. Every Sunday and Wednesday, your children will learn about Jesus and the Gospel as they study through the Bible and see God’s amazing love towards them. They will also have a lot of fun in the process as they sing, play instructive games, and create amazing crafts.  Finally, you can expect that your child will be safe as a result of our security and volunteers. For parents, we have full kids programming for kids in 3rd grade and younger in all of our services.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that visiting a church for the first time can be confusing or intimidating.

Here are some things to help you feel informed and comfortable before you visit:

What should I wear?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Worship Gatherings. Garner Church is not about what you look like or what you wear. Dress in what is comfortable for you.

Where should I park?

There are several reserved guest parking spaces in our main parking lot that you are welcome to use. These spaces are near the front entrances. Look for the “Visitor Parking” signs.

Should I bring a Bible?

If you own a Bible, we’d love for you to bring it because we do read scripture in the service. If you don’t have one, no problem! We will have scripture shown on our screens. We also have copies of the Bible available for use during services.

Is childcare available?

We encourage and welcome parents to bring their children into the worship service. At this time, we have a nursery for newborns to 2 and Childrens Church for kids ages 3-8.
